CREDITS: THE BASICS
Georgia State recognizes that learning can take place in various modes and places other than the traditional college classroom. Knowledge gained through experiential learning and other means is evaluated for possible college credit through examination. The International Baccalaureate Program (IB), the Advanced Placement Program (AP) and the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) are the most commonly used tests for this purpose. These are standardized examinations administered nationally each year.
Please note: all AP or IB transcripts MUST be sent to Georgia State University to ensure credit. Visit Georgia State’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions to ensure the transfer of credit. Additionally, and most importantly, all AP, IB and CLEP exam results MUST be sent to Georgia State University directly from the College Entrance Examination Board or the International Baccalaureate Organization to ensure full credit of courses.
